6th INDO – SPANISH Call for proposals in BIOTECHNOLOGY
The present Call is launched in the frame of the Joint Programme for Cooperation signed by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI-E.P.E., Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Spain) on November 22nd, 2011. The objective of the joint Indo-Spanish programme is to promote and fund market - driven research and technology development as well as to encourage partnerships and business-led R&D&I collaborative projects in the field of biotechnology.

The joint call for proposals aims to launch ambitious joint projects of a high international standard between Indian and Spanish organizations. Potential projects will be funded by DBT in India and CDTI in Spain.
- Project features
The project needs to be oriented towards developing or significantly improving a business-led, innovative product, process or service.
The call is open for R&D&I cooperation projects in the following areas:
· Health biotechnology
· Industrial biotechnology
· Agro biotechnology
· Biomedical engineering
· Other biotechnology areas
- Eligibility criteria
It needs to include participation of, at least, one Spanish industrial partner and one Indian company or research institute.
The Spanish company could also collaborate with other Spanish organizations (tech centres, universities, research centers or others).
Launch of Call for Proposals: 12th December 2019.
Deadline for submission of completed applications: 27th March 2020.
Release of results: April - September 2020
