Workshop Overview

Covaris, together with its India partner Premas Life Sciences and in collaboration with Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE), would like to invite to a one-day executive workshop in Bengaluru bringing together thought leaders, technical experts and key decision makers from a variety of organizations to examine how analytical sample preparation is evolving in India, why it matters across clinical research and diagnostics, pharma and biopharma, contract research organizations (CROs), and academic research, spanning both human and non-human sample types.

The need for Sample Prep

Individual focus on genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, epigenomics and metabolomics are rapidly converging into integrated multiomics workflows with an attempt to better answer biological questions across every sector of life sciences. As the volume and complexity of omics data grows, the dependence and demand for more and better data continue to rise as well. Hence, quality of the sample preparation of complex samples in today’s world has become the single largest determinant of data reliability, reproducibility and downstream insight.

Why attend this workshop?

This workshop will combine keynote presentations, sector-specific discussions, interactive panels focused on a host of upcoming technologies including Covaris' sample preparation platform enabled by its class-leading Adaptive Focused Acoustics (AFA)® technology. This workshop will offer every attendee a unique mix of strategic context and the practical detail – both of which are essential for consideration, evaluation, and execution of sample prep workflows.

Objectives

  • Discussion on the growing strategic importance of standardized, high-quality sample preparation across all forms of omics. Individual focus on each area – Genomics, Epigenomics, Proteomics, and Metabolomics
  • Examine sample-prep challenges specific to clinical diagnostics, pharma/biopharma R&D, CRO throughput models, and academic research.
  • Explore best practices for nucleic acid shearing, chromatin fragmentation, and proteomics sample preparation workflows for human and non-human sample types (blood, FFPE tissue, plant, microbial, and environmental matrices).
  • Interactive discussion on Covaris’ AFA-enabled workflows as part of NGS, epigenomics, and proteomics workflows.
  • Network with peers and technical experts spanning clinical, pharma, CRO and academic institutions.

Who Should Attend

This is an executive-level workshop intended for decision-makers and senior technical leaders, including:

  • CEOs, principal investigators, and R&D heads
  • Genomics, proteomics, and multiomics core-facility managers
  • Clinical laboratory and diagnostics leadership
  • CRO project and operations leads
  • Procurement and instrumentation decision-makers
  • Academic PIs and senior researchers working with human or non-human samples (animal, plant, microbial, environmental)
