Methodology
- ➔Nationwide ‘Call for Proposals’ in the area of life sciences that have commercialization potential will be announced through various communication media.
- ➔ Each team comprises 3 students. The team could be interdisciplinary with at least two of the members pursuing life science courses and 1 can be from other disciplines.
- ➔ Student team have to submit a Concept note and Executive summary of their idea
- ➔ Top 6-7 students teams will be shortlisted for the zonal round to present their idea in front of Jury
- ➔ A virtual bootcamp will be conducted for the students before the zonal contest.
- ➔ The virtual bootcamp will be conducted by ABLE’s leadership team providing motivational talks to improve students skills to convert ideas into an effective business plan and introduce students to aspects like proof-of- concept, IPR, managing funds, licensing and strategic alliances for starting a venture.
- ➔ Each team has to prepare a powerpoint presentation of their idea for the zonal round after the virtual bootcamp. The students will be assisted in preparing the presentation during the virtual bootcamp.
- ➔ The shortlisted teams will be presenting their idea physically at the zonal university. Their travel and accommodation will be taken care of by ABLE.
- ➔ Only the Participant’s travel costs will be reimbursed upon submission of tickets/bills. Please note that the amount of reimbursement shall be limited/equivalent to the cost of a 3 Tier A/C train ticket fare only.
- ➔ Only Participant’s accommodation will be provided.
- ➔ The shortlisted teams will be presenting their idea in front of a jury in a closed conference room at the zonal university. The students' ideas will be kept confidential. Decisions will be taken after the teams are shortlisted.
- ➔ Total 15 minutes for each team will be given for the zonal final round (8 min presentation and 7 min discussion, Q&A with Jury)
- ➔The event will be held across all four regions of India. Please note that there will be no National Finale round this year.
- ➔The top two winners from each region will be awarded cash prizes
- ➔In the event of cancellation of the program, due to any unforeseen circumstances, the program will be held at a later date. The colleges/participants will be informed about the same.
