AMTZ conducts recruitment of fresh med-techs further requirement of 25000 medtechs proposed

On 25th January 2019, the Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone (AMTZ) was abuzz with hopes and dreams of more than 1000 job aspirants who had come from different parts of the state, some of them from even other states such as Kolkata and Chennai for the mega recruitment drive.

More than 10 manufacturers including Biosense Technologies Pvt Ltd, Green Ocean Research Labs Pvt Ltd, Indq Product Designs Studio, Mass Medtek Pvt Ltd, Mavom Labs Pvt Ltd, SS Maser Technology Pvt Ltd, and Think 3D Pvt Ltd,who have started their operations within the AMTZ campus held walk-in interviews for more than 100 positions such as technicians, fitters, accountants, drivers to more skilled job roles such as service engineers, R&D engineers, quality assurance engineers and production engineers.

On the side lines of the recruitment drive, Dr Jitendar Sharma, MD& CEO, AMTZ reiterated that AMTZ is a place where one would find the best talent in the field of medical technology and expressed confidence that AMTZ with its path breaking vision coupled with fast paced development would continue to attract the best talent and create thousands of opportunities for youth from across the state as well as the country.

The zone when complete, would have 250 manufacturers and generate employment for 25000 youth. The turnover of the zone would approximately be around Rs 24000 crores.

India is a highly import dependent country as far as medical devices are concerned. It is estimated that annual imports of medical devices are close to Rs 24000 crores. AMTZ precisely cuts down this import and aims to make India independent in the field of Medical Devices.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu dedicated the Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone (AMTZ) to the nation on the 13th of December 2018 which also saw the participation of over 1000 delegates from over 100 countries participating in the 4th WHO Global Forum on Medical devices.
