APAC Biomanufacturing Meeting seeks global support for this sector

Biomanufacturing was organized by the International Council of Biotech Associations (ICBA) as part of the ongoing BIO International Convention in San Diego on June 5.

Participants shared their national efforts to invest more in increasing biomanufacturing capabilities of key biotech product ingredients. India was represented by BIRAC MD, Dr Jitendra Kumar, President of ABLE Council of Presidents, Dr P M Murali, Mr Narayanan Suresh, COO, ABLE and Dr Sanjay Saxena, head of investment, BIRAC.

India participants shared the details of the proposed national biomanufacturing initiative to step up production of a range of APIs, key starting materials, intermediaries for a range of key biotech medicines within the country. Members from India, USA, Australia, South Korea, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, Germany, Taiwan. France, Sweden, Holland, European Union, United Kingdom and Japan attended the meeting.
