Indian Healthcare Angels Forum Launched

Some well- known investors and investment facilitators have launched the Indian Healthcare Angels (IHA) Forum to bring in aspiring  Angels and Angel investors to look at investing in Indian healthcare startups with a much more commitment in midst of the  Corona  Pandemic. 
 The Forum was launched on July 26 during an international webinar. The Forum has been curated by ABLE member Mr Vishal Gandhi, CEO, BIORx Venture Advisors  Pvt Ltd ( BIORx) .
 “The pharmaceutical sector has become a priority sector with the government announcing special funding schemes for revival of API sector in India,” said  Dr Dinesh Dua, Chairman, Pharmexcil and Executive Director, Nector Life Sciences, in his Keynote Address during the webinar.
Jointly organized by BIORx Venture Advisors Pvt. Ltd and HiiiH Innovations Pvt. Ltd, the webinar introduced 5 start-up pitches.  As a first of its kind initiative, the event had participation of jury members from  the  UK,  The  US, Switzerland and the UAE. It was attended by over 70 participants (Mainly Angels Startups and Mentors). 
Expressing his remarks at the event, the Jury Chair of the business plan pitch, Mr Joy Chakravorty who is COO, PD Hinduja Hospital and  Medical Research  Centre,  Mumbai, said: “I am happy to note that IHA has initiated this much-needed platform for healthcare ecosystems to help increase the success of healthcare startups in market base.”
Further, Vishal Gandhi, CEO, BIORx, conducted a masterclass in which he stated about Do and Don’ts of angel investing in Healthcare.
This was followed by a Panel discussion between Ms Archana Panchal, Partner, JSA; Mr Rajiv  Suri,  Partner,  RNA; Mr Vishal Gandhi, BIORx and  Dr Jagdish  Chaturvedi,  HiiiH  Innovations. Panelists discussed on various dimensions of Angel Investing  from Legal, Commercial and IP due diligence point of view.
